In recent times, every television channel has been cashing in on Bollywood stars to boost their TRPs. The latest Bollywood star to enter the world of television is Mallika Sherawat.
The actress, who is quite excited about her stint into the TV dance show ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’ -- Team Challenge, revealed why she had chosen this TV reality show.
She said that all her movies had been meant only for adults, and by entering the TV platform she will be able to reach children and people living in smaller towns, who will now be able to see and enjoy her work.
“All my movies are meant for adults only. With my TV debut, children and those living in smaller towns can see and enjoy my work,” stated Mallika.
Mallika always enjoyed promoting her films in TV shows
The actress, who will be seen judging the show with Javed Jaffery and Terence Lewis, stated that she enjoyed talent shows when she had gone to promote films, and that’s the reason she grabbed the opportunity when she was offered the job as a judge in ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’.
“Whenever I have gone on a talent show to promote my films, I have enjoyed watching them perform. So when I got this offer to judge the show, I thought why not? The reach of TV has become bigger and it will help me connect with my fans,” stated Mallika.
Mallika calls Madhuri an expert in dancing
As a judge, Mallika will be judging the attitude and appeal of the participants in the dance show, while she revealed that Javed and Terence will focus only on the technicalities of dancing.
Speaking about her dance Show, Mallika stated that this show is a perfect platform for kids to showcase their talent and it will provide them with the opportunity to pursue dancing as a career.
Like Madhuri, who had been judging the dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4’ in Sony, it’s now Mallika’s turn to take a similar role as a judge in a reality dance show. There will be comparisons drawn for sure, as people will have seen both the shows.
However, Mallika modestly stated that it would be inappropriate to compare her with Madhuri.
“She is a legend, an expert. I am just someone who enjoys dancing,” stated Mallika.
